The Xiamen Southeast International Shipping Center is located in the Haicang District of Xiamen City. It has become the fourth international shipping center in China, following Shanghai, Tianjin, and Dalian, marking its strategic significance in the country’s Five Major Port Group construction initiative. The development plan for the Xiamen Southeast International Shipping Center has been completed, with the goal of increasing the container throughput of Xiamen Port from the current 6 million TEUs to over 10 million TEUs within the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period.
The Haicang Core Port Area of the Xiamen Southeast International Shipping Center is situated to the south of the sea, extending to the west of Xiamen’s Xi Sea area, and bordered by the Xiamen-Zhangzhou Cross-Sea Bridge to the west. To the north, it is defined by Jiaosong Road, Nanhai Road, Nanhai Third Road, and Xingang Road, covering an area of 24.41 square kilometers.

The contract indicates the reciprocal collaborative relationship between these two enterprises.
Its strategic focus is on developing modern coastal industries, including shipping logistics, port imports and exports, bonded logistics, value-added processing, service outsourcing, and bulk commodity trading. The goal is to establish an efficient, convenient, environmentally friendly, and low-carbon logistics network, along with a modern maritime service system that is both comprehensive and high-quality. This will position it as a crucial container hub port in the Asia-Pacific region with the capability to allocate global shipping resources, serving the western seafront, both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and international markets.
