Shanghai Songjiang Shock Absorber Group is pleased to share details about the Dongguan Waterworks Hot-dip Galvanized Expansion Bellows project. The agreement for the Dongguan Waterworks initiative was executed by Songjiang Group on March 20, 2017, supplying expansion bellows products for the project. The elastomeric sphere in this undertaking is crafted from natural rubber, paired with hot-dip galvanized flanges. It is designed for common water applications and carries a three-year warranty.
Overview of Dongguan Tangxia Water Company:
Founded in 1993, Dongguan Tangxia Water Company is a government-owned entity under the jurisdiction of Tangxia Town. Its primary responsibility is to provide both industrial and domestic water to the residents of Tangxia Town, along with the sale, installation, and distribution of water-related accessories. Under the effective guidance and strong support of the Tangxia Town Party Committee and Town Government, Tangxia Water Company has undergone continuous development, enhancing its scientific and technological capabilities. From its initial establishment as a single water plant, it has evolved into four water plants, boasting a collective water supply capacity of 510,000 cubic meters per day. This includes the Central Water Plant (90,000 cubic meters/day), Fenghuang Water Plant (250,000 cubic meters/day), Xiagongyan Water Plant (100,000 cubic meters/day), and Niumianpu Water Plant (70,000 cubic meters/day).
In 2010, the company successfully completed the comprehensive integration of the town’s community water supply workstations, establishing a comprehensive “network” for the entire town. Currently, the company’s water supply pipeline network extends throughout most areas of the town, covering a total length of 191 kilometers for pipelines with a diameter of DN300 and above. The company employs 287 individuals, with a focus on recruiting and training talent, including 3 engineers, 12 assistant engineers, and 108 staff with a college degree or above.

Introduction to Dongguan Tangxia Water Plant Expansion Bellows Products:
For this project, we supplied DN800 hot-dip galvanized flange expansion bellows. The expansion bellows consist of inner and outer rubber layers, fabric layers, and steel wire rings, forming a tubular elastomeric component that undergoes vulcanization before being combined with metal flanges or parallel joints. This product mitigates vibration and noise, compensates for thermal expansion and contraction due to temperature fluctuations, and finds widespread use in various pipeline systems. It is applicable for connecting pumps, valves, firefighting equipment, pipes with significant vibrations, and those subjected to frequent temperature changes. Primarily used for the lifting and conveyance of raw water and sewage, as well as supplying water and circulating cooling water for thermal power plants, the metallurgical industry, condensate handling, chemical transport in the chemical industry, and cooling in the petrochemical sector. Moreover, it serves as a flexible connector for both long and short-distance pipelines across various industries. Given the rubber’s high wear resistance, it is also suitable for the low-temperature transport of granular and powdery materials in all industries.
